review | {"sportsmanswarehouse":{"users Review":["i've Taken This Tent Out On Two Long Weekend Trips And I Love It! It's Super Lightweight And Crazy Fast To Set Up. Less Than Two Minutes Without The Fly, I Timed It Ha Ha! I Would Give It A 5 Star Rating If I Didn't Have Just Two Issues With It. 1 - It's Kind Of A Hassle Getting It Back Into The Bag. It Doesn't Slip Back In So Easily. No Biggy 2- Here's The Bigger Problem; On My Second Outing With This Tent, I Took It On A Backpacking Trip Through Some Canyons (tighter Slot Canyons As Well), The Bag Just Couldn't Take The Beating It Got. The Bag Got A Whole Bunch Of Little Holes In It. I Became A Little Concerned For The Tent Inside So I Wrapped My Rain Jacket Around It. The Second Night I Pulled The Tent Out Of The Bag And The Whole Bottom Of The Bag Ripped Apart. Lame! I Paid Enough For The Tent I Would Think The Bag Around It To Protect It Would Last Longer. So Now I Have To Get A New Bag, Or Duct Tape It. I'm A Little Worried That The Tent Might Not Last Long Now. I Hope So Because It's So Easy To Carry And I Invested Some Good Money Into This Tent."],"source":"http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/sportsmans/mountain-hardwear-drifter-3-dp-backpacking-tent/productdetail/backpacking-tents/prod999901365967/cat100836"},"sunnysports":{"source":"http://www.sunnysports.com/prod/categoryid_2145/context_2144/sort_rating/descsort_1/page_1/mhwtd3d.html","users Review":["this Is A Great Tent! It Was Exactly What I Was Looking For. I Purchased This For A Backpacking Trip, And Although The Weight Will Be Split Between 2 People, It Isn't Too Heavy For 1. This Is A Roomy Tent! Two Big Vestibules, Great Headroom, And Roomy For 2 + Gear. 3 Will Work, But I Like Things Comfy. This Tent Is Very Easy To Set Up, Had No Problems Whatsoever. There's A Center Hub That Clips Into The Body, The Fly/tent/footpring All Clip Together Very Easily. The Dry Pitch Option Is What Sold Me...if You Get Caught In A Down Pour, You Can Pitch The Rain Fly And The Footprint By Themselves, Drag The Tent And Your Gear In To Get Them Out Of The Rain, And Finish Setting Up The Tent...out Of The Rain. You Can Even Leave The Tent Body At Home And Backpack With The Fly/footpring Setup For An Ultralight Shelter. Or...bring Just The Tent Without The Fly And Footprint If It's Not Going To Rain. This Is Another Plus Too, It Comes With The Custom Footprint. A Lot Of Tents Dont. If You Consider That It Comes With Footprint, Guylines (only Included 2 For Some Reason, Not 4), A Pole Repair Kit (just In Case) And 8 Stakes...the Weight Isn't Bad. Comes With A Very Practical Gear Loft Too.it's A Quality Tent. No Errors Or Dangling Strings In The Stitching, It's Seam Taped And Completely Waterproof, And The Poles Are Very Strong And Light Weight.thank You Mountain Hardwear For A Great Product, And Thank You Sunny Sports For Your Awesome Website!"]},"backcountry":{"source":"http://www.backcountry.com/mountain-hardwear-skyledge-3-tent-3-person-3-season-mhw2115","users Review":["i Am A Big Proponent Of Comfort On The Trail. For That Reason, I Prefer A 3 Person Tent To Sleep 2 People (and A 2 Person Tent When Flying Solo). This Tent Is An Excellent Two-people-in-a-three-person-tent Tent. My Previous Tent In This Category Was The Mountain Hardwear Haven 3 Tent - Mh's Precursor To The Skyledge 3. Every Improvement That Mh Incorporated Into The Skyledge 3 Is Exactly What I Hoped They Would Do To Improve The Haven 3: They Reduced Tent Footprint Slightly; They Made Two Equal Vestibules (haven 3 Had A Large And A Small Vestibule); They Reduced Material Weights In Every Category (tent Canopy And Fly Fabrics, Poles, Pole \"clips\" And Stuff Sacks) To Bring Total Weight Down By Around 1.7 Lbs (over 25% Weight Reduction). The Eyebrow Pole Helps Create Nearly Vertical Sidewalls Which Increases Useable Interior Space. With Two 12 Sq.ft. Vestibules, The Drip Line Of The Rain Fly Is Far Removed From The Tent Body (helping To Make This Tent An Excellent Performer In The Rain). This Tent Also Has A Very Taught Pitch And, With Guy Cords, Proved It's Mettle In Strong Winds At 12,200' In Colorado's Holy Cross Wilderness (see Pic). The Skyledge 3 Doors Are \"c-shaped\" - When Unzipped, They Hang To The Side. Compare To The Big Agnes Copper Spur Ul3 Where The Doors Are \"n-shaped\" - When Unzipped, They Hang On The Tent Floor Or On The Ground (where You'll Likely Step On Them During Entries/exits). I Opted For A Custom Homemade \"soft\" Tyvek Footprint (different From Tyvek \"housewrap\" Found At Building Centers) To Save Weight Over The Oem Footprint (saved 4 Oz Or 1/4 Lb). The Stakes Are Aluminum With A \"y\" Cross-section: Strong, Light. I Changed Out The Oem Guy Cords With Thinner, Lighter, Reflective Cord. You Can Save A Little Weight With Other/smaller Tents, But I Think This One Hits The Weight/space/comfort Sweet Spot."]}} | ||
